FAMILY EMPLOYMENT EMPOWERMENT

This program helps young families better manage family budgets and navigate employment-related fluctuations. It incorporates both individual and group mentoring, helps families and individuals overcome employment barriers and helps participants attain stable and high-quality employment.

We offer several tracks, each adapted to the characteristics and needs of individual participants. Emphasis is placed on participants’ strengths and inner resources, and we work to create new employment opportunities and facilitate access to existing ones.

Family Employment Empowerment is based on two principles: having faith in people and in their ability to take responsibility for their lives and make changes, and the belief that they should be given the freedom to choose the best path for themselves.

Family Employment Empowerment is designed for families who are known to social services and/or who face employment barriers and want to make a career change to improve their lives.

We operate the program in collaboration with social services in local authorities, and work primarily through occupational social workers.

PROJECT SHVIL: GOING BACK TO WORK

‘Shvil: Going Back to Work’ was launched by the Family Employment Empowerment program in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services. Shvil (Hebrew for Pathway) was created for Israelis on welfare and for those whose careers have recently been impacted – not least by the coronavirus pandemic. The goal is to provide targeted and effective solutions to help participants quickly reenter the workforce.

We have been operating Shvil since 2011 and have so far helped members of 5,500 families (an annual average of 550 individuals) find stable employment. We are active in over 20 communities across Israel and offer a wide range of personally tailored employment solutions.
