SUCCESS STORY OF TAGHRID ABU ASSI
Taghrid is in her 50s.
She participated in the Eshet Chayil program.
Before joining the Eshet Chayil program, Taghrid never thought she would use the term “career” in relation to herself. Encouraged by the program coordinator, she participated in the Eshet Chayil preparatory workshop. She also took up the driving lessons she had quit the previous year and received her driver’s license within two weeks. On completing the workshop, Taghrid decided she wanted to become an art guide. She received a scholarship from us and began to study for her qualification certificate. Today, Taghrid runs school workshops in community centers and has launched an independent business. “I’ve rediscovered myself,” she says.
Eshet Chayil gives mothers from traditional communities the tools to advance professionally and overcome cultural and societal barriers.
